XBOX Wireless Adapter for Windows.

My controller of choice for PC gaming is the XBOX One controller. It feels great and is a nice step up from the Xbox 360 controller.

PC had a wireless dongle from Microsoft that you could use to sync your Xbox 360 controllers to and play wirelessly on PC. When the XBOX One controllers came out, there was no wireless adapter for PC. So you had to play with the controller connected to your PC via micro USB cable.

The official MS cables were overpriced at about 30 dollars per cable, and they were very unreliable and broke easily. Using the MS cables, my controller would lose connection at the worst times , especially in online matches of games like Mortal Kombat X.

Cheaper 5 dollar Micro USB cords seemed to hold up better, but they still weren't perfect.

So, when I was in EB games one day and noticed that there was now a wireless adapter for the XBOX One controllers , I picked it up and am really glad that I did.

Before you go buying one though, know that you need to be running Windows 10 and you need to update to the latest build before this adapter will work. With all that aside though, playing wirelessly is the way to go.

This adapter will set you back $29.99 and unlike the small wireless USB stick that controllers like the Steam Controller comes with, this one sticks further than most standard USB flash drives.

All you need to do is plug the adapter into a free USB port, then press the sync button on the side and the sync button on the controller and it will connect and you're good to go with up to 8 XBOX One controllers connected if you ever would need that many.
